Job Description
As a Pipeline Production and Fabrication engineer in the Subsea [xxx] Operating Center, your main assignments will be :
* To support project and operations
* To be mobilized on a project during a defined period
Your role is intended to provide pipeline production and operations support to tenders and projects for the following activities:
* Spoolbase pipeline production and inspection
* Spools and aids fabrication and inspection
* Welding, NDE and FJC support to project and operations
Your missions will be as follow:
* Review clients specs and issue technical clarifications and deviations
* As necessary, write and optimize technical specifications in line with contractual document and scope of work
* Reply to Client Comments and attend to clarification meetings
* Perform technical support for requisition at each stage of the procurement process and manufacturing phase.
* Attend the Pre-Inspection Meeting (PIM) at Supplier Workshop for critical activities such as qualification and validation program.
* On project request perform technical survey visit at Workshop
* Technical assistance for NCR closure
* Review Vendor/Sub-contractor documents considering schedule constraints (Welding Books, NDE Procedures, FJC qualification procedures ?.)
* Coordinate the delivery of welding / FJC and AUT activities performed by partners or S/contractors
* Liaise with the Spoolbase team to ensure the production readiness
* Apply standard operating practices as developed by the One Rigid group
* On Project request perform technical audits to assess Subcontractor's capabilities / equipment / manufacturing process
* Follow KPIs and support the spoolbase team to implement corrective measures to meet project targets
Occasional travel abroad or offshore to be expected

You are meant for the job if
* At least 10 years' experience in Oil & Gas industries. Fabrication and Welding experiences gained on projects involving spooling of rigid flowlines or installation by Reeling/S-lay/J-Lay method are mandatory.
* You must have an engineering degree or equivalent Engineering in Material and/or mechanical science;
* Certification as per IWE scheme is required for fabrication engineers supporting welding & NDT activities .
* NDT certification will be a plus
* For engineers supporting coating activities, an experience of 5 years in a similar position is required.
You shall know:
* Main welding processes (SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, GSFCAW, SAW?)
* Applicable welding and NDT standard ASME, API, DNV ?
* Materials, weldability and NDE methods for carbon steel, high strength and extra high strength steels, austenitic, Duplex and Super Duplex stainless steels |
