Electrical Commissioning Coordinator
Summary:
We are looking for an electrical engineer to join our commissioning team for one of our projects (EPC above 1 BUS$) in Ras Laffan, Qatar, preferably on a freelance basis.
The job will comprise the coordination of the commissioning of the different vendors involved and support to the Lead Electrical Engineer. It includes supervision of vendors' personnel, including engineers, technicians, foremen and helpers at site. Vendors are mainly electrical related but not only, mechanical and system package coordination is also required.
Experience with oil and gas operating companies, engineering companies, or large EPC contractors in the same field is mandatory.
Being used to work at site conditions is important, as well as ability to lead a team, good manners and interpersonal skills.
The right candidates have to be organized to make note of changes, keep punch list references and clear them, follow international construction standards and procedures, and able to handover a part of the plant to the commissioning team well documented following the final checks.
The position is either in rotation 8x2 or preferably in family status.
The contract is proposed as CDI or freelance contract.

Skills:
The Package Coordinator should have the following compulsory skills:
? Knowledge of OPERCOM/ICAPS/CISCOM tools and methodology
? Possess an electrical diploma from a European university or engineering school, preferably french.
? Have 10 years of experience in mechanical commissioning in oil and gas industry, of which 5 years in a supervisory position.
? Have strong communication and interpersonal skills with English language.
? Be well organized and keep clear track record of modifications to design made through construction due to punch lists.
? Have a through understanding of HSE rules, attitude to follow and make those under his supervision follow them strictly, prepare and get approved site work permits from the client representatives, make daily toolbox check and toolbox talk to those under his supervision.
? Have worked outside their native countries at least for three years.
