Mission
Reporting to the Head of Purchasing of the Business Unit your main responsibilities are :
Define, set-up and implement a purchasing organisation able to bring the full set of services expected by the internal and external customers for the management of projects.
For selected countries or areas where business is expected, propose new international sourcing and local schemes (offset) for the whole procurement process (supply chain included)
Integrate the Procurement function upwards in the bidding process and strengthen the relationship with all stakeholders (sales, suppliers, other BU’s, Costing dept)
Organise and secure the Procurement part of all major tenders world-wide, in particular assess costs and price evolution as well as strategic vendors and anticipate local constraints and contractual requirements.
Drive the change from a country-based organisation (FR, US GY) to a central, functional international structure by harmonizing procedures, tools and processes.
Lead and manage a team divided in 4 organisations: Project Procurement managers (3), Costing – bidding & localization, Processes and tools, logistic coordination.
Participate early to all bids and be responsible for the pricing and margin preservation during the whole delivery process for projects of 1B€ and more each.
Convince, federate and be recognized by all relevant internal (Sales, purchasing managers other countries and BU’s. ) stakeholders and external actors (suppliers, subcontractors, specialists ..)
PROFIL RECHERCHE
Expérience : > 10 ans
Niveau d'études : Bac +5
Requirements
.
10 + years practical experience in an industrial / matrix/ complex purchasing role, ideally in an Engineering context.
Good educational degree, preferably engineer
Ability to communicate at various levels (from Committee mgt to employee level)
International relationship skills : ability to connect and work with people from different cultures and levels of responsibility (Management, peers, colleagues, team members, authorities, partners, suppliers) and to persuade at all levels.
Engineering project management skills : understanding of large and long-term projects in a very technical environment (objectives, stakes, issues, processes, actors) and identification of solutions from a global perspective
Analysis and structure: capacity to analyse complex situation and to propose and implement practical solutions based on a methodical approach, ability to change management.
Leadership and results: ability to drive people, teams and projects to achieve results
Languages : English and French, German is a plus.
