Job description :
Work under supervision and direction of the Project Superintendent during the construction, testing and commissioning of the critical and BOP piping systems required for the construction of a combined cycle power plant.
Oversee the complete erection of pipe, hangers, supports, insulation and painting for critical and BOP piping systems.
The duties are to ensure that pipe systems are stored, maintained, installed, tested and commissioned in accordance with the applicable codes, specifications, drawings and design documents.
Daily reporting and inspections on work in progress. Coordination with HRSG and Millwright superintendents during the erection of the HRSGs, CTGs and STGs.
Assisting in subcontract preparation and management. Reviewing invoices and assisting in progress reporting and approving progress payments.
Coordinate problems and solutions between site Subcontractor, craft labor, and the design and field engineers.
Coordinate the required inspections and testing with the Subcontractor, startup manager and Owner. Review and oversee the storage, preventative maintenance and cleaning of piping spools prior to commissioning
Review piping spool drawings, hanger design drawings and P&ID's. Coordinate with the Subcontractor responsible for theerection of HRSG.
Attend and participate in weekly coordination meetings with other Subcontractors and area superintendents.
